Lindsay is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. She was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and now resides in Grand Rapids. She is a recent graduate of Michigan State University’s Graduate Journalism program, where she tailored her work and curriculum to highlight Indigenous stories and portrayals in the media.
